During your visit to Giants Head Caravan and Camping Park this summer you definitely won’t want to miss out on experiencing a Saturday night picnic at Sculpture by the Lakes. Situated just outside Dorchester, a quick 20 minute drive from us, Sculpture by the Lakes is the perfect location to enjoy a night out while also staying safe and adhering to Government guidelines during this pandemic.
Saturday Night Picnics
This collection of magnificent sculptures, created by internationally acclaimed sculptor Simon Gudgeon, are set against the backdrop of 26 acres of Dorset’s natural beauty, which provides an entirely different experience than a traditional art gallery. While usually open in the summer Wednesday – Sunday from 10am to 5pm, this summer they are offering the fantastic opportunity to enjoy an evening picnic in the incredible surroundings of their park from 6pm – 10pm.
Simply pre-book your food and drinks from their exquisite menu and your picnic will be provided to you from their onsite cafe. Enjoy your meal at the tables and chairs situated around the lakes or bring your own blanket for the authentic picnic experience. The scenery is stunning and most definitely makes for a memorable picnic location! Even if the evening turns cold or damp, don’t worry as The Retreat and Studio 1 will be open with socially distanced tables.
